linear workflow in Maya with mia_material

hi guys.
so basically I'm newbie in 3D, started last year with zero experience in digital art (including photoshop), spend a whole year focus on modelling, this year I want to start to learn about texturing and rendering. Recently I learned about linear workflow rendering in Maya. I'm rendering a copper metal object with mia material x, so should I turn on the metal material, use fresnel reflection, increase index of refraction while using linear workflow render?

    To my knowledge, linear workflow has nothing to do with those settings you refer.

    Linear Worlflow will only affect color inputs on your object. In Maya 2016 color management is much easier. You shouldn't worry about it when rendering a pure mi_material. The viewport already use sRGB gamma by default. And color inputs are set to use sRGB by default too.
