The theme of this skin is 70s/80s sci-fi and its inspired by cult movies such as Star Wars and Godzilla series. Colors, composition of elements, structures and shapes are inspired by various artist (both comic book artists from the era and contemporary art which use the theme of 70s/80s sci-fi).
Development process of this skin revolved around the idea of destruction or invasion of a civilization by another race. This theme is commonly used in sci-fi movies and comic books in 70s and 80s.
To experiment with the composition a first draft was created. A sketch inspired by Mechagodzilla by Toho Studios was used to see how it works with the city skyline. The first draft was lacking a sense of depth and stability.

After the first draft the adjustments in background color were made. Using the combination of blue and red was the main idea as these colors were very common background colors in 70s/80s sci-fi comic books and movie posters. As the background color was also the color of the sky, usage of red created the feeling of dawn where moon and stars were still visible but the whole scenary was about to change. Dawn is also a very suitable time to start invasions
The invader robot is an original artwork and the colors, as mentioned, were inspired by various artists. After the outline of the robot and experimenting the composition with other elements of the skin were completed, robot was colored by using a specific tone of blue. A ton which is very common in 70s/80s sci-fi.

After finalizing the composition, different arrangements were made and final details were added to create the touch of 70s/80s sci-fi as well as a sense of stability and harmony through out the skin.
