Hello,

EDIT: We are finalizing our contracts with the chosen candidates. Thank you everybody for applying. /EDIT

We are a small indie software developer and we are developing a fantasy roguelike dungeon crawler.

Currently, we are looking for a professional 2D artist for the following items:

- 418 inventory and equipment items (64 X 64 pixels). This includes swords, armor pieces, crafting items, etc.
- 400 biome tiles (64 X 64 pixels or 32 x 32 pixels). We have 25 biomes, all having a specific theme, so there will be some variation (not just simple repaints).
- 102 landmarks (64 X 64 pixels or 32 x 32 pixels). Landmarks are things like tables, beds, anything that can be on a biome tile.
- 384 creatures (64 X 64 pixels or 32 x 32 pixels). This includes 3 icons per creature (128 creatures with 3 different icons).

This equals out to 1304 icons.

Style/inspiration:
We would like a dark, gritty look. We are not looking for lush colors and comic style. Diablo 1 would be a classic example of the art style we are going for. As for view perspective, we would simplify it a bit in the likes of Keeper RL.

Why the 32 x 32 versus 64 x 64 pixels info:
For inventory items, we have a bit more potential space and larger icons would look good in any case. So 32 x 32 is not an option here. However, for everything on the "map", we are more flexible.
Therefore, if you apply, we would like to hear your input, how much more 64 x 64 pixel icons costs versus the 32 x 32 pixel ones. Send us an offer for both options please.

We need roughly 70% of these icons (from all types) until end of August. Please only apply, if you can make that deadline, as we plan going into early access during that time. We need at least enough content to make playing the game already worthwhile in that state.

We are looking forward to your application. Please include a link to your showreel with similar work experience; it would be impossible to evaluate what you are capabable to do without this.
