Need help improving handpainted art

Hello. I`m trying to improve my handpainted art. It have been a few months since I started and the improvements have not been there. I don't know what is the problem with how I do this but am hoping someone could give me some tips on how to improve. Will be very grateful if someone could give some criticism.

Am hoping to achieve a less exaggerated handpainted art style.
