I am an artist that has been trying to work on his craft. I have a LOT of art books on my shelf over various subjects. I see all of your fantastic pieces of work and would LOVE to attain this level of artistry. I feel if I am not working on something practical that it is not worth working on. So for example, if I am wanting to study the human form I look at it in a technical way. I don't just draw people over and over. I dissect and analyze it having to study hands and drawing them perfectly before moving onto another piece. This is often my handicap because it turns from enjoyment into work because it is technicality and not creativity. (I often never finish what I am working on either.) What is your process? How can I rapidly or steadily get better at drawing while also looking forward to it? I need methods and thoughts! Thanks guys!
