I have made a start on a new skin. This will be a pattern only - if it works out. The plan is to get a mix between a circuit board and paneling.

Starting out with the base shapes.

    ehhh... this WIP is going to suck. I can't imagine there's much to give feedback on with a pattern design. Especially this one as it's going to be an anodized finish. Anyway, here's some more WIPage.

    Working on detailed version of panels
     
    Fast forward many, many hours and I'm left with this. Each colour represents a different shade for the anodized pattern.
    I have used photoshop brushes to create a bit of a grungey texture throughout.

    the good thing about this design method is it leaves it open to colour selection. So I can easily tweak it in game to find that nice mil-spec colour scheme :)

    The final result has been posted here. Can't say I'm super thrilled with it, but patterns that look good are hard to do :/
