Here is an update with my project. Changed some of the material and lighting around. Thank you ZIO, yeah I would agree with you the edges definitely need work. I plan on using a procedural edge wear to break them up and maybe some edge dirt or just general wear and tear.
Ok last update for today. I learned more about how to use splines so I added those into the scene and messed with my post process settings. Next step is finishing the doors and walls. Then to vertex painting.
I did a quick search on which concept it might be but couldn't spot it. Anyways.. Here's what I think.
I'd get rid of most of the 90° corners, there's quite a lot of them. (A piece to connect walls to the floor would be great.) And I'd be careful with the grunge, it's everywhere right now (ceiling). Try to place it where it makes more sense, right now it's a tiling texture on top. Overall I feel like the right side is a lot better. Even though I'm not sure about the bent glass.
@Cay, Sorry I should have included a reference, here it is. I agree the 90 degree edges are not so great so I went ahead and beveled the worst ones. Ill clean up alot of the grunge so its more balanced. Thank you for the tips, keep them coming I appreciate it.
The latest update is a really nice jump in quality compared to the older ones. Your textures, especially the floor, are still suffering from too much noisyness; I'd make them closer to a solid color, with much more subtle dirt and wear (Unless your goal is to make them look dirty, in which case you should focus on having the dirt concentrated in logical places).
@Meloncov thanks for the critique. I agree the dirt is wayyyy too much and it doesn't make sense in some of the places that its in. Here is an updated version with new textures and the glass is also fixed.
