Hi here is my last project I am working on. It's just first projection in CS:GO it still needs a lot of work. I am thinking about color scheme, or should i keep it like this? I will appreciate any feed back.
That singular point of view makes a bad impression imo. It makes it suspicious that the skin might not look well from other angles. Please upload more pictures of it, otherwise I feel like it's destined to be underapprechiated or misapprechiated. The core charm of an 3d object is it's shape after all, so having views from many angles is just neccesary when showing it off.
I will upload screenshots from more angles this evening or tomorrow because right now I have a lot of work for school, I got final exams. Personally I think It looks decent from other angles, combination of green and black looks good. I will maybe update skin and add some more details to it. Anyway I really appreciate you'r feedback guys.
I feel like skins that have amazing illustrations on it look great from the side but look pretty terrible from the first person view wich is the most important in my opinion. Its like a Lamborghini with terrible interior, looks great when you look at it but is ugly when you get in it.
I think that vertical lines on cilinders looks better than I expected. Main part with the disorted ufo is what doesn't look all too well. What about changing it?
As a sidenote, I'm sure you notice yourself as well, but the green circle really stands out for having a different shade of green color, makes it look out of place.
I tried many positions of that UFO this one looks the best, however I was thinking about removing whole UFO thing, but then it wouldn't be sci-fi themed I think.
Well, just an idea. I think that rising it up to point that only bottom part is on cilinder could be a good solution, because then the shape wouldn't get disorted to point of getting unrecognizeable. Maybe even rise it up to point that upper parts gets cut out.
But there goes the core of my idea- rather than using shape of UFO to deliver the right impression, instead add a bright lighting coming from it's bottom (which is supposed to abduct the human) for that purpose. The main advantage to this solution I see is that it as an abstract effect wouldn't get minus points for beign disorted on surface, while serving for same purpose better.
