Hey all, for the upcoming period I want to practice substance and my texturing process in general , the idea is to spend a little more time on each substance/texture then I normally would but do it more conscious and see where I can improve and what it is I am actually doing to the texture , I chose to do this mostly in substance so I can iterate on the textures really easily.
I have made 2 substances so far for this purpose, and decided to hopefully get some external feedback I'd use them to kick off this thread, hope you guys like it and feel free to drop comments or resources I could be looking at, it is very much appreciated.
I will be uploading more substances and or itterations on the once already posted in the comments in the near future

Wow these are really good, how long would you say they took?
New update today ( it's not supposed to be daily just happened to be the case today ), still going for medieval this time I went for rooftiles, also made it so you can blend between wet and dry, nothing spectacular there but I thought it was pretty cool ;p ,feedbacks/tips/tricks are very welcome especially on how to get some better moss blending between the tiles, probably re visiting that later on my journey
Made a small itteration on the medieval tiles, based on some feedback, removed the weird blending in between the tiles, and changed the color of the moss a little to make it more uniform with the rest, feedback is welcome
Hiya @Zubnero! Sweet looking materials so far man!
The cobblestones are looking a bit to squared, can you show which reference you are using on this one? The only thing I got to say about that one though, the texture on it is looking super nice and I love the dirt that you got underneath all that, maybe some more variaty in color on that?
Another substance , forged iron this time, had fun making this, not the most complicated graph but it was easy to understand and very tweakable, it's something I want to push further in my other substances as well.

Let me know what you think
