Hey guys I want to start learning how to make hand painted textures.
Are there many tuts around cause I haven't found many useful ones. Do you need to be a great drawer to make them and how important is it to know how to make then in the game art industry?

Yes, you do need to be a good painter if you want to make hand-painted textures.
However the good news is this is a skill which can be learned. It improves with steady practice.

There's lots of good reference there, and the first follow along I did that really gave me a solid fountain for hand painted textures.
