I'm working on 100% procedural wooden planks with worn paint.
Here is the latest iteration:
i added functionality in the graph to adjust plank size, paint erosion, nail position, paint and wood color and all that good stuff.
The first (and perhaps most successful) part of this graph I tried to figure out was the paint erosion pattern and a peeling at the edges effect. Below are process images for this graph in chronological order from beginning to end.

Bringing a little more variation into the mask
and from here I ended up with the top image by getting the paint mask a little more evenly spread and more flaky.
I thought it might be interesting to show what one of these graphs looks like in the early stages with my workflow... which is basically throwing nodes at a graph until it looks better.
