Hey Guys i finally managed to post something about my WIP, so as my previous sci fi stuff i tried to make something really detailed, not sure Valve is looking at this type of sci fi stuff because it will not be really colorful ...
First , some of my inspirations but clearly the main inspiration come from my whole sci fi memories of the 80's ^^
And that's where i am at the moment, i've worked mostly on the rear of the awp and the scope and i'm just starting the left-over . Everything is made on photoshop .

(bottom layer: pumpernickel rye bread) - This design is super legit. probably the best AWP I have seen and contest design so far.
(pickles and mayo) - the major scratches on the blue parts are all facing the same direction, mainly the 2 on the barrel look identical
(lettuce) - not excited by the power button, but that it totally subjective and just my crap opinion
(the meat) - worried this design is too similar to clegfx's recent scout that got into the lastest case
(pumpernickel rye) - Keep up the great work, your stuff always excites my visual pleasures!

when i saw your awp, it reminded me of cleg's. Your direction/style is definitely more solid and I think you kicked some ass with dealing in those low-res textures. I dunno, maybe try 2 versions. The pallette you are working with and maybe a pallette with a darker body and the accents a lighter color? Might be worth messing around with. I'd really love to see this in game.

On my side i just projected in 3D Coat , and i'm ok with the result !! Lot of tweaks coming now!
it probably wouldn't hurt to release at least 2 color options. Your pallette right now is super solid but when i saw it i instantly thought of that ghost scout (whether its really close or not). maybe even a bit darker could help avoid that white of that last scout. I'd like to see this awp in the game. you manages to really work those super low res textures incredibly well.

PS. Probably it's too sharp for this rarity (compare to Asiimov), but hope I'm wrong, it's very well executed.
Concerning the rarity you are probably right or probably not , look at the galil chatterbox , a covert rifle even if the gun is destroyed ... anyway i've done what i like and what the theme inspired me , that's all my concern .
