Sky Baron Owl Character

Hey everyone. So I have been working on this character for far too long. I really like making characters and animating them but I always get stuck on texturing. I am gonna do one more pass on it but I thought I would get some fresh eyes and critique from you fine people!

I love the concept, but that could be that I'm favorable to owls. I think the beak could be more of a natural color and perhaps work similar to an actual beak? I would look at other animated birds to see what they do to get more of a natural feel to it, but I can imagine the bottom pose with a standard sort of beak and maybe no teeth. Best of luck!

Really nice looking stuff you have here already :). I think the definition of the fabrics and the leather could be pushed more. The overall characters feels very flat. The feathers are good as they are, they seem to work really well with this one.

Thank you so much for the feather comment. I have been looking at them so long I could not tell they looked bad or not. Thanks a ton for the crit!

i think its a bit late in the modeling cycle to change the beak but I will keep that in mind for next time. Maybe I can make a morpher and push the shape into a more beak like
