Im going to be making a deagle design around the original Tron movies, im currently thinking about doing a more simplistic design but maintaining a higher level of detail. This should keep it in the mil-spec rarity.

This will be my first ever gun skin design but i have a lot of experience in the graphic design industry.

I have started making some geometric designs for the background of my skin using Adobe Illustrator grid tools.

I Use a premade colour layout when starting my skins, this makes it easier for me to see what parts i need to edit on the UV sheets.
I have started applying the geometric design to some parts of the weapon, i am going to make most of the body this style with the handle maybe being a wooden texture or brushed metal

So the progress is going well i feel, changed the body colour too black to make it fit better with the tron style lines, i also added a brushed metallic handle which i feel fit more than the wooden style, ive also been working on some more tron line ideas, i will upload that picture next! Also want to start designing a logo of some sort for putting on the handle

Starting to design some more lines and patterns to apply, made the arrow design to fit on top of the barrel, used Adobe illustrator for these, will also start working on a logo for the handle and to use on future designs

Progress is going well, i'm really happy with how this is turning out seeing as its my first ever skin, going to start some work on a logo for the handle

Started working on making some screw heads, just gotta bevel and emboss them

Quickly put some cheeky emboss and bevels on it, starting to make some more detailed parts of it

Updated the screws to make them look slightly more futuristic, going to see how they look applied to the skin with a colour overlay

Implemented the screws and also started experimenting with the handle, im pretty sure im going to change the logo though to fit in with the rest of the theme

also going to start doing something near the back pin so it gives that little bit more appeal when not inspecting

Upgraded handle, any opinions and suggestions are greatly appreciated at this stage as i have no idea how to make the handle look its best!

In my opinion, the handle design feels "disconnected" from the rest of the design. My suggestion is to incorporate the "dots" you have at the end of the lines on the barrel into the handle somehow to tie it all together.

yeah, ive been struggling with the handle for quite a while now, this idea could help though, ill try it out

So finally finished this and will be starting a new skin design as ive really enjoyed my first attempt
