I try to make the weapon in style of old sci-fi with a set of various buttons and switches. Something similar to Starwars or Alien (Nostromo).

I would personally advise against using chromatic aberration in the texture file, a lot of people don't like the effect and it doesn't make sense applying only to the gun. Looks great otherwise, I like it.

Looks great! If I may suggest something, think about adding some blood splats coming from a space monster that one just pwned with this gun. Like toxic green or pink blood drops here and there, nothing major - my first thought when I saw your design. I think it could add even more to teh sci-fi theme. Again, great work!
