I want to create black path with "white" opacity around the headlights, but have a problem with transparent render mode. I created two materials of glass, first with middle gray opacity and second with clearly white opacity which is to become a black outline around my headlight. But in 3do I see that the some of glass mesh is shining through the "black" material with the "white" opacity map area. How can I make the not transparent material around my headlight? Photoshop CC2015, Quixel 2.1.4.
Hi, I want to ask you about glass shader. How Did you turn on Transparent Render mode? I want to make a car glass, but don't know how to do it ;/
Oh I find how to change my glass Render Mode to Transparent. Glass is transparent now, if I found solution for your problem I will let you know
Hey I found solution for you! First Add Glass material and leave default opacity at White so It's not Transparent.
Then on the photoshop open Opacity Texture, Add new layer above the Glass Material Group and make that palace White which you don't want to be transparent (Leave Opacity at 100%). Above this layer Make Black layer to make that palace transparent (Leave Opacity at 100%).
Awesome man from the facebook quixel support group wrote me this solution:
Joel Klausen Ok, so you'll need to do a little work on the model. For the headlights assembly, break ir back down into parts. Or at least for the inner and outer glass, and recombine them again, but selecting the inner part first. Sorry for the late reply
Joel KlausenShort answer is that the model is drawn in vertex order, so if things in front are drawn before those behind them, opacity doesn't work properly.

Have you tried using another rendering mode for your glass, CrazyBuch?
fade/transparent mode
cut-out mode
SYNAESTHESIA, yep, I tried all of these, all 4 modes))
and it's really working!))
Thanks guys for your helps, my problem is solved!)
