Hey all, decided to take do a quick texturing piece to work on improving material definition. CC welcome.

Cool quick model! I would turn on Padding to 64 on 4k just because it looks cooler for texture presentations!

Appreciate the feedback GAZU! I used a 2K map. Do you think I should have went 4k?

No! I think 2k is good for this grenade. I bake with 32 Padding on 2k Maps.
I would use 4k for highly detailed weapons. But i think...you can bake in 4k, then you have it, and you can scale it down whenever you want. Also downscaling gives you Anti Aliasing

Ah okay got it. Thanks for the feedback. I definitely should up my padding then. I was only at 4...

I mean the Padding is for the Mipmapping. But i think phat Padding looks also better for texture presentations

Awesome looking grenade. I especially like the Alphas you used. The metal scratches look like some I've seen from a crossbow making udemy master course. Sounds familiar or is it just a coincidence?

Glad you like it Stefan. Must be a coincidence. I'm not familiar with that course.

It looks pretty good, though I think the roughness or maybe the metallic off on the paint, there is also a uv edge without scratches on the top that looks strange.

Maxilator - Thanks for pointing that out. I'll fix the uv edge tomorrow and take a look at the roughness.
