Hi all, decided to keep a sketchbook to keep track of my projects and progression. I'm aspiring to be an 3DEnvironment Artist, constructive criticism is welcome
So I've started a new UE4 project coming off the 'Corridor' tutorial by 'WorldofLevelDesign' ...my aim is to take what I learned and expand on it and create a complete (small) environment using my own textures and meshes etc.. Just at blocking out stages currently
Really nice work! Impressive modeling, texturing, and lighting! How long did these assets take you?(from modeling to final renders) I'm curious to see how this environment is gonna look once all the awesomeness is put together. Will there be any organic life in the environment? Like plants, mutated creatures, MUTATED PLANTS! Also curious about how many tris make up these assets.

Damn just seen this ..so much for keeping an eye on this sketchbook and keeping it updated
These assets were created for a freelance project I'm working on, there will be more I can share soon and also I believe the team is working on a trailer which will be dropping soon, but no there won't be any organic mutated life forms lol.. we have spaceships tho!
Some screens from my entry to the ArtStation 'Ancient Civ' challenge. It was the first time I used ZBrush and I used it for all the rocks and pillars in the scene (youtube was invaluable!) I also tried to bring more focus to composition and lighting in the scene. I've gained so much from this project and the constraints of having a time limit, going to get straight into my next project to keep momentum going.
Some beginning stages UE4 shots from my latest project, as it's based on a real world location I'm going to be utilising Google Maps to help with the layout.

Just been working on the block out, trying to figure out a look, at the moment going for two floors, with an outside area
Going to wait till I get MToolbag3 and do some re-renders as my presentation could be better I think
I'm done with the normals on this, onto the texturing
