Gigoba polycounter lvl 2
So I had my first post on here a couple of months ago which was this same demo reel but in a rougher stage. It was something I started working on right after I graduated. I touched up the animations and added another scene. I would appreciate some feedback. Thank you for checking out my stuff!

Hey Gigoba, nice start. After a quick glance, you need to work on that Norman walk to make it more fluid. The fight scene could use some exaggeration and better timing, make it snappy! We don't really feel the power behind the old man's strikes.

As for the acting shot, I think it's your weakest piece. Have you tried filming yourself ? Everything is very linear and even. Also keep in mind the 12 principles and make sure to use them in all your movements. Use a mirror for the lip sync, or film a close up of your face while acting out the dialogue. You also need to work on the staging, a character standing upright to the left and another to the right is very plain, finding something more dynamic will make it more appealing.

That said, I think you should really focus on body mechanics for now. Once you've nailed that down, you can move on to acting. Try pantomime-style first (you can look at some iAnimate or Animation Mentor student stuff for inspiration) then add facial performance later.
