Environment Artist for a Mobile Game

Lumba is a San Francisco / Dubai based company specializing in creating first class mobile games for the Arabic speaking world. We currently have three titles (with a fourth in the works) which are doing extremely well. Our second and third titles, Tribal Rivals and Temsa7 Army, were chosen as part of Apple's "Best of 2014" and "Best of 2015" across the Middle East.

We are looking for a talented Environment Artist to create engaging, playful, stylized environments using real world settings as inspiration.

We are aiming for an aesthetic that is approachable, with large "chunky" details, but not so simplified like kids games. Environments will be small (taking up one screen) and will be built to to be pre-rendered from and angled orthographic camera.

An ideal candidate should be able to:
- Communicate ideas using mostly color and geometry (texture will be used for fine detail but not large contours)
- Have good grasp of color composition to make each scene feel dynamically different from each other.
- Be quick working and good at taking direction / applying feedback.
Previous experience preferred.

Please have suitable amount of availability. Software used is not entirely important, but Maya or Modo preferred.
