Hello everyone,
I believe a short introduction is in order.
I'm Brian 'Shray' Naveen, I did a Diploma in Digital Animation and I've been working in the industry since 2014 as a Generalist with emphasis on Lighting and Compositing. It was the first job offered to me at the time and I jumped on the opportunity. However, as time progresses I have grown more fond of Modelling and Texturing and therefore I wish to improve upon my skills in said area. So, I will be posting my work here as a way to gauge my progression and also build my portfolio for 3D Modelling/Texturing.

I wanted to build the Metal Slug SV001 Tank. While scouring the internets for references I came across an artwork by Ricardo Chamizo. With that, I tried to replicate what he had built in his piece while making some minor tweaks and personal touches here and there.
I am still practicing and working on getting my UV Layout technique in order.
So, I decided to go ahead and texture this guy using a simple single frame composite.
Technique used for the texturing process was one I learned from Kirill Chepizhko.
Basically rendering rust/dirt/paint layer passes in Keyshot and manipulating them Photoshop.
Yeah, I'd like to get have one on my table aswell, perhaps someday in the near future I could get it printed
I thought this would be a simple yet great scene to try out and build up knowledge
before moving on to a more intricate Environment next time around.

Some updates.
After almost 4 year working in the same company, I recently quit to take a sabbatical while pursuing some projects on a freelance basis. Also, I figured I'd go back into final year of school to get my Bachelors done. (Sept intake)
Here's just a fun little concept piece I wanted to get out of my head.
Maya + Substance Painter + Iray
