As promised, as I continue to finish my art in the hand drawn 3D cartoons thread, I want to start over and make a new portfolio.

And to get jump started on that goal, I will bring to life the most coolest console ever created in the history of video games. The legendary SEGA Genesis!

Make sure you use plenty of reference; there are some tough shapes there.

Can we get a view without the wire? Hard to judge the shading with the bright red overlay, but as far as I can tell, it's looking good so far. Some of the edges are a bit tight for baking, I think. Excited to see more!

Have you made a blockout for the whole thing? To me it looks like you´re adding support-loops in a very early state.

Here's more work.
I think the blast processing found in the SEGA Genesis is making my high poly take so long. But then again, I kinda like taking the time to model every little detail I can find.

I reckon some of those edges might be a bit too tight... like that slight ramp up onto the upper layer is a bit too sharp, I reckon it wouldn't read too well when you bake it down, also wondering whether it may be possible to apply the same critique to the grill part of your model too.
