Does Studying Cinematography will improve my composition?

I've recently started learning composition, by watching some online videos and also giving myself some assignments on the same by doing some environmental stuff on paper, and i am disappointed with the results , i know i should do a couple of weeks more but any Tips you guys have like do this or that anything, and also is cinematography similar to composition????,
b'cuz i am studying from the screenshots of each frames of the film about the camera angles and the space etc. will this be helpful for my study about composition.

It is probably one of the best things you can study. Improving your composition, color and lighting skills can make  a sub par environment shine, but if you lack those strong fundamentals, even the most pimp environment art can look terrible.

Yeah I think composition is always something 3d artists miss out on, compared to 2d artists that probably know the importance of this. I always get stuck on this and have no real idea what is supposed to be good or bad, sometimes it turns out good and many times not. So any info that could improve my knowledge on this would be awsome.

I loved my cinematography class in college. It's visual story telling, taking movement into account but also perspective, lighting, camera work. But it also concerns itself with editing, pacing, story arcs and so on - this is probably of interest to game designers. There's just so much you can learn from it for making games no matter what discipline you're in.
