Normally this probably should probably be posted in either the Marmoset or Substance Subforums, but they are a bit slow going and I need an answer fast.
I am trying to use Substance Painter for the Allegorithmic Beast Contest. But I Must be doing something wrong, because I can't get the textures or lighting to match. I try to increase the Sky in marmoset to 4x just to compensate for the dark textures, this again creates washed out results. So I have to compensate in the textures, making them lighter. Basically I am working half blind this way. I think there is something wrong with the interpretation of the Albedo. Like it is linear instead of sRGB. But if I turn it off I get washed out results.
I am using the same HDRI in both Substance Painter and Marmoset. I have set all the required settings for the Metal roughness workflow:
Substance Painter:
- Shader: PBR-Metal-Rough
- Maps Base NM, Color, Roughness, Metallic
- Same HDRI on Env Exposure 0
Marmoset:
- Reflection Model GGX,
- sRGB Off for Metalness, NM, Gloss
- sRGB On for Albedo
- Glossmap with inverted Roughness
- Same HDRI on 1

You may want to change the Tone Mapping function or the Exposure in there.
Thanks, I think that was it! I must have set that value at one point to render the model with only a NM, then left it at gray.
