The wendigo is a common creature in Canadian folklore, for the settlers in Québec the Wendigo represented a spirit of the forest a generally benevolent creature which protected the forest at all costs. For the first nations the Wendigo was a beast more primal which represented the cold of winter, starvation, and cannibalism. Concept Art:
