So recently I've had the urge to get a small and focused project finished, half for the enjoyment, half for confidence (?), I guess I'll just get onto the images and then explain away.
Firstly, heres the basic concept for the small scene, I say basic, because theres a few things that will be changing. Firstly the scene will be more filled out, this concept is only what I'm using to build/sculpt the structure, just so its clear while I'm working as to what I should be doing.
The end scene will have a lot more plant life. The concept for the base is pretty rudimentary atm, I have the idea in my head that I want to have either, a central stream as shown above, or a flooded grass land, I'm not entirely sure which option I prefer, it might even be that I do a combination of the two.
One of the main objectives is to create an interesting atmosphere while using limited props, I don't want to clutter the scene. I want to keep the scene feeling nice and loose and painterly, what I'd really like is to push the work to be quite textural if I can.
I've made some ways into the sculpt for the archway.
And I think today I want to do my best to try and get a more fleshed out concept done and really fill out the scene, try and give it the atmosphere that I get out in my other paintings.
I hope that all makes sense? Also, I should mention I'll be doing this in UE4, hopefully I'll have a concept by the end of the day that better shows the content and atmosphere I want to achieve.
Crit would be very appreciated, I know theres not a lot right now though.

For reference, Ill be aiming to have some light rain fall and some falling leaves.
Although i do think more contextual items would be good.
I finished the sculpt.
And I'm working on the re-topology now.
