I've been doing a lot of character modelling and zBrush work as part of my studies so I want to take things in a different direction and try out Hard-Surface modelling. It's been a lot of fun and I think I'm on the right track. There are a couple major aspects I'm aware I need to rework but if anyone has any advice or critique for me I'd gladly welcome it!
Here's a little update on progress, gonna start adding the cables now to piece it together. Then I'm going to go in and add all the small neat details that gives it a lot more depth in terms of function, as well as the possibility for more color and accents.
Great work so far Your update answered a lot of the questions I was going to ask you based on your first images, which is very good. I'd love to see some more nice rounded forms like the one you have in the "bicep" area. I think it's breaking up the very hard edges you have throughout the rest of the arm very nicely. Good luck finishing! Only a few weeks left!
Thanks guys! Thanks for the suggestion Nick, I'll add some rounded details that I think will solve the issue of unbroken hard lines, I'm also adding a cable that will be on the outside of the forearm that will add a lot of nice form.
