Hey polycount,
I've started work on my first little scene, based on a digital painting by Matt Dixon. I'd like to get into doing more environment art and what not, so tell me what you think. Any comment and critique welcome.

I think I'm done with the robot character aside from minor tweaks.

I like it so far, although I think the eyes could be a bit more full. The edges almost seem too dark, even if it's supposed to be a semi-transparent-backlit-plastic sort of look.

Or not. I'm a post, not a cop.

Very nice! Agree that the eyes look a bit rounder in the concept.

Yes, that's exactly what I was going for, thick semi-transparent plastic, back lit and worn/scuffed to an extreme. I agree that the glow does not match the concept. I'll play with the emissive a bit.

Did a little more than play with the emissive. I think it matches the concept better now.

I'm currently skinning/rigging this guy, so I'll be redoing the pose to fit the concept better, as well.
