Hi, I am setting up this thread as Our team is in need of some more Artists. Specifically we are looking for artists who specialize in Environmental and architectural Modeling. Our project is currently in negotiations for funding with investors. While we pretty much have it in the bag so to speak. Our team felt is critical to produce an actual playable demo for the investors. We will showcase to the investors so they can see directly what they are investing in during the presentation. One thing I found about investors, they are very visual, while it is nice to talk about it, and show spreadsheets, nothing beats sitting them down and showing them. The next step once funding is secured we will further expanding our team. I will of course revisit this post again, but in the paid section of the forums. We currently have a total of 6 artists/programmers on our team all volunteering their time to produce this demo from different parts of the world and the US. Now you may be asking, What is our project?

 The demo is in its very early stages, we have lighting, base particle fx, hover cars, and NPC's walking around, and a few base buildings. We are in need of high quality Architecture and environmental meshes that pays tribute to Bladerunner, and 5th element designs; that sci-fi/post modern architecture, seedy and dark in some places, shiny and high class in others.

 Now, what does this mean for you? Well if you are the right candidate, this means once we get funding you get a full yearly salary. Salary will be DOE. Until then we need someone that does not mind giving free time to reach a end goal we all want to get to. We currently have industry veterans who have done work on games such as Fallout, Final Fantasy, Tomb Raider, Disney, nickelodeon and many more. We are all giving our free time, and enjoying every minute of it. We have great discussions on game features, lore of Cyberpunk genre and general chit chat related to the project and games in general. We even play games together so we are a definitely a tight knit group and we get along great. We accept remote artists of course, ideally you should be no further than Germany regarding Time zones, this way we aren't playing phone tag or slowing down communication turnarounds due to the time difference. We will also consider relocation per case basis as it would be more effective if you could be local, but obviously it is not a deal breaker if you can't. Please no outsourcing/subcontractors companies.


    • Strong foundation in Architecture design and Modeling
    • Strong experience in creating 3D models using Max, Maya, Mudbox, Zbrush, etc.
    • Experience in unwrapping a model to create maximum UV space utilization and texel density
    • intermediate/advanced knowledge in texturing e.g. Substance designer (preferred) Quixel Suite 2.0+, substance painter 1.0x or if you own it substance painter 2.0x (also just as good)
    • Photoshop
    Particle Fx Artist
    • Advanced knowledge in Particle FX
    • own a license of Particle Playground 3, (this package is preferred as we are using it currently but again not a deal breaker as long as you know what you are doing)
    • ability to create high quality particle fx, steam, heat shimmers, water fx, drips, drainage, mist, fog, explosions, fire, smoke, etc, etc.
    Environment Artist
    • Advanced Modeling of environmental objects, e.g. terminals, kiosks, dumpsters, wiring, scaffolding, struts, bridges, walkways, sidewalks, roads,dividers, barricades, street signage, computers, phones, basically items that populate the world and inside buildings.
    other qualifications
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
    • Ability to communicate visually, and to identify and define visual design issues and solutions.
    • Demonstrate a positive, adaptive attitude and effective time management skills.
    • Excellent design skills, including the effective use of shape, color, form, lighting and composition.
    • Online portfolio consisting of current personal and recent professional work
    • Strong passion for gaming
