I think the head is looking solid already, maybe you could try to get rid of the knots(wood texture?), that aren't present in your reference.
I'd try to get some finer detail/wood grain into your handle, it's very blurry right now. You could put some more work into the curvature wear of the handle as well. Instead of using a solid color (I assume) you might want to try and adjust the base texture to be brighter on these spots.
