Hello everyone!
Recently, I started another Fallout fan art model. For those who missed it, you can check them out in sketchfab.

In last few months, my skill set got a lot better and I think this is the best time, to try it out. I picked out Fallout 3, the ripper weapon. It was one of my favorite melee weapons in the game.
I already started it, few weeks ago and have made good progress. I will share with you all the weapon stages, with small annotations.
As always, comments and feedback is more then welcome.
1. First step, that I did: Modeled basic shape and proportions from concept/reference art, that I had. At this point, it looks really basic, 1999 like lol
2. After basic mesh, I added some quick details to it. These two steps to make, took me around 2h. Wire frame is not the best, but that was not my priority. I just needed to make it more logical.
3. At this stage, I decided that all looks good enough and I will start remodeling/polishing mesh. I made this.
And boy I was wrong, I opened it after few days and in front of me, was full on chainsaw. I knew that I f*cked up and decided to throw in a character model, to check the scale. Basically, all of the parts where too small and second handle made it more like chainsaw. I fixed it ASAP.
4. After fixing it, I was quite pleased with results. I polished every part and finally it looked more like sword style weapon. Most important, one handed heavy machine. Here are the results.
5. This is my last step (current stage) that I'm in. I polished every part, fixed wire frame and added that extra detail level to it. I did not model all details, because a lot of them will be in texture.
Yeah, something like this. I would appreciate comments, critique and feedback. Better to fix something now, while I can.
