Hi everyone I am new to the world of 3d environment and i am having some trouble understanding on how to do floor textures or tiling textures ( if that is the correct term )
The programs I am currently using are Zbrush and Maya and I hoping someone here can give me some tips/tricks/tutorials on how to create what I am looking for.
I attached some images of what I am wanting to accomplish.
Note: These are not mine just something I am hoping to achieve one day

The second approach, which lends itself to the software you mentioned, would be to create a tileable high poly floor pattern which you could layout in Maya and then further refine in ZBrush before baking it in something like xNormal.
There are certain plug-ins for ZBrush which help with creating tileable textures:
NanoTile Textures
Tile Helper Zbrush Plugin
Another possibility is procedurally generated content. The last texture reference you attached to your post was made using this workflow. Substance Designer is the software which was used for this. It, most of the time, involves creating a pattern by driving functions with nodes and makes it very convenient to create tileables.
