Hey guys, it is my first post in this part of Polycount.
I need some advices about pieces for my first portfolio. I'm aiming into hard surface modeling (as you can see I like weapons) but I realize I can't deliver only guns, I need more variety and I'm working on it. I'm self-taught, I model in 3ds max, texturing in Substance Painter and
I'm slowly approaching Zbrush.
First model is fn scar, I made 2 textures for it. I realize that polycount could be lower, but I wanted to retain some roundness. The thing that bothers me the most is this weird "chipping" on the edges (which is, I think, caused by uvs and not-so-perfect highpoly bake).
The second one is this Remington Shotgun. I think it's okay, but it's not much of a eyecatcher (for me at least). The wood texture might be too trivial.
There are links to Sketchfab if you want to see the wireframe or play around with models.

Okay, so thank you if you are still reading this, I will appreciate any c&c (as you can see, english is not my native language, sorry for grammar or spelling). Have a nice day
