Photoshop CC 2015 - "Show "start" workspace when no Documents are open" option is greyed out

Using photoshop CC 2015,
the option can be found under edit>preferences>general

A screenshot would help. Plus more info... what OS? Did it used to work, and how long ago? Have you made any changes to your system lately? etc.

it used to work, like a week ago, and no I did not make any changes

• Which exact version of Windows?
• Which exact version of Photoshop (go to the About screen).
• Have you tried updating Photoshop (Help, Updates)?
