I would like to see a list of new features. That trailer is rather about all painter can offer. It is difficult to know what is new and what is not as some names are generic.
I agree - I'd definitely like to see a "here's what's new in v2" video at some point.
Things I was able to spot that are new:
Smart Masks
Clone Brush
Smudge Brush
iRay integration
Scan-based Substance materials (not 100% sure if this is new, but I didn't think existing materials were scan-based)
400+ alphas (the ones shown in the video are hard surface related and I know those are new)
Sketchfab and ArtStation direct export
I will be honest in that if that's all there is I'm a little underwhelmed, but Allegorithmic has always impressed me in the past so I'd love to believe there's more than is in that video.
There is a lot more to this release that will be revealed along with the build tomorrow. This is just a general overview of the new Painter but all the changelist will be available when the final build hits.

Just purchased, downloaded, and installed substance painter 2. Was messing around with it for a bit.
Pretty cool update, only thing I couldn't figure out is how to set the clone position. The initial position is determined by the first click, but there doesn't seem to be a way to change it once it is set. Would be nice to have it work like photshop where you just press Alt or something.
smudge works great.
I wish the baker wasn't so hard to find in the ui tho.
Other than that, I'm really looking forward to using this in production, the mask generators and improvements there are pretty awesome.
Oh, its 99.00 to upgrade, still 150.00 to buy. If you own it already, the easiest way to upgrade is by clicking the link in the email you should have gotten.

Don't want to create another thread so I'll ask here. How to preview brush stroke with only normal map in brush normal map channel? It's just a white square for me/

Make sure to disable the height channel when painting on the normal channel.

final_fight Does the performance seem slower than 1.7?
Feature wise they are identical, the differences are the price and the licence. More info here : https://www.allegorithmic.com/products/license-comparison
FInish filters use the normal map, make sure your project has a normal map channel.
