Hey Guys!
I started my graduation at my university, for which I'm going to create a diorama / cutout of the Thunderbird 1 launchbay. Final results should be a handful of beauty renders in Unreal Engine 4.
I've created this thread to post some weekly updates, ask for feedback and personal motivation.
Below are some screens of the blockout so far, which should show the aimed area, and hopefully the right proportions. Also, reference:
Launchbay and
Swimmingpool.
Feedback and crits will be welcome all the time

Looking forward to this.
Was hoping to post more regular, but here's a progress shot for what I have now.
There's still a lot of blockout geometry in the scene, and the lighting is just temporary.
Yes, the swimmingpool moves aside, making space for the rocket to fly.
You can see it here: https://youtu.be/QKKVoR1X5lM?t=30s
Still some stuff in blockout, but overall pretty close to final I think.
Any thoughts on lighting? Not sure if it's too dark or not (working on two different monitors here :') )
-Replace last blockout assets for final assets.
-Add some more stuff to the walls to have them less 'empty'.
-Create area behind the big doors.
-Lighting on top area.
-Polish on lighting, pp and camera flythrough
Watching the show nowadays can be a bit creepy indeed, yes
Thanks! (and sorry for super late response).
I felt like the even lower camera angles wouldn't do justice to the overall scene, but adding stairs was a nice touch. I focussed mainly on the top / swimming pool area the last weeks, I think the diorama shot gives a nice sense of scale now.
