I finally have the time to work on my own portfolio, so I decided to go for a piece to consolidate my gained knowledge from the last year. I picked Jeff Simpson's concept ->
https://www.artstation.com/artwork/BqOl as it was Digic's trailer that actually got me hooked to game art. This also gives me the possibility to use also Francisco Randez as reference for body and face.
Here the base mesh as anatomy practice for starters - I don't want to go into too skin details for the body at the moment. Hands and face will be done seperately and into detail as I need them for the real time model. Next step is going to be the head, as soon as work leaves me some breathing room to continue.
Feedback is always appreciated.

Added face. Details (lips, skin and so on) still in progress.

Nevertheless the inside of the hand needs some re-work before I proceed to baking. I am not too happy with it

Next stepp is going to be to start with the clothing. I might revision the skin before baking.
Boots are not finished, as a couple of minor things are missing (like bolts connecting straps to the boots) and I have still not completely wraped my head around how to do some of the decorations. On Ubisofts model they look as if made of steel, but to me it looks a little weird as it would just stiffen some odd parts making little sense. So I will have to reduce those decos and do some re-interpretation.
Feedback as always appreciated
Update:
I had to put the project on the side to finish a stuff that has come up. Still I took up the suggestion to at least finish the head in low poly and textured.
I started with the skin. Ears will need some more love. Once they are done I am going to start with the hair. All critic regarding the skin so far is more then welcome
