Hello! Some time ago I started a little project, wanted to practice in anatomy, and realistic texturing. Created head and tthought: daym I NEED to make him skullmask. Started to explore some ideas, wanted to make some pattern on mask. Well, cuz im ukrainian it was an easy choice of "petrikivs'ka" painting. Then I went deeper in ukrainian stuff and decided to make character based on "characternik". This is kinda battle mage from 1600th, they could chant bullets,
heal wounds and stuff like that. Some ukrainin military elite considered as characterniks for example there was guy wich as someone think was an characternik that was killed by silver bullet or there was dude(Ivan Sirko) on wich osman emperor made a decree to pray about Sirko's death in mosques. I thought it's pretty interesting stories so I created such characternik with modern approach
