Answered: nDo not giving me options for normal maps?

No matter what I do, I can't seem to get the "options" sliders to appear when I use NDO. Even creating a new project and using the marquee tool to select and then converting it, the NDO window just goes back to the conversion button, no bevel/slant/shape options and no sliders. Is there a setting I am missing?

Hey Ultimiant!

It's not your copy of Photoshop. What I'd recommend is to start up the SUITE. Run nDo before you do anything else. Use the nDo project creator to create a blank normal, and then start working within that document. From the looks of your video, you may not be working within nDo's expected layer structure. Let me know if this helps!

I have the exact same issue as displayed... Tried this:

Still the same result... After creating the NORMAL tab, I am still denied access to the edit tools.

This looks like a Photoshop installation problem. Do you have multiple installs of Photoshop?

No, I have only have 1 single PS installed on this computer...

I just started getting the same bug. It happened during working on a file, so it's nothing to do with my PS install.  I was half way through, having made some normal map elements using selections and such, tweaked the settings on them, and then suddenly the UI for tweaking the settings won't show. I just get the UI as if I have a selection all the time. It's not a consistent bug either, some other files I can open that I made earlier today and some of the layers I get the UI and some just show the 'make new from selection' UI and then sometimes it's just totally blank and soon after it will crash. I've restarted my machine, same deal.

Update - I uninstalled Quixel suite and reinstalled with the latest version and I'm getting the exact same scenario so I'm completely stuck now, can't get my work done because randomly the UI will show or not show and then crashes at some point.

That would be fine, and hopefully most helpful! When does it fit you the best? I am personally busy Tuesday/Wednesday/Friday from morning till noon (GMT+1) But other than that I am free.

I'm the only Swedish guy in Quixel that doesn't live in Sweden, so I'm about five hours behind you in Eastern Standard Time. The only times I have available to screen-share would be tonight at 8:30p my time, which would be roughly 12a to 1a your time - weekends are significantly easier to work around.

I think it would be best to wait untill weekend.. Both for you and for me. Would Saturday be a propiate day for you? In regards to the time, I should be fine the entire day

Did you work out what the issue was? I'm having the exact same problem (following the same tutorial by Thiago too). I can create the basic selection to normal, same as you can, but I get no options beyond that.

The issue in question here was due to using a "portable" copy of Photoshop. Quixel SUITE requires a standard installation of Photoshop in order to function correctly.
