Hello guys, I've been trying to do a 3d model of a fuel pump, but i'm stucked with the cage.
I'm using 3dsmax and Xnormal for the baking.
When I try to generate the normal map this error come out:
"The cage mesh Default inside C:\Users\PC_01\Desktop\Cage.obj has at face 3 a vertex index that doesn't match with the correspondent one for mesh Default inside the file C:\Users\PC_01\Desktop\lowpoly.obj"
I checked out how many verticies, faces and normals have the cage and the lp.
Everything has the same value except the normals: those of the cage are more than 4000, while the ones of the lp are around 2000.
How can i fix this problem?

What I normally do is duplicate the low poly and scale the vertices enough to cover the high poly as that is what it will bake within.
If you have multiple pieces then you can explode the mesh into its different parts to stop it projecting normals.
