I did a quick UV map for the trench coat (nearly finished the game mesh for it) and did a test bake normal and AO map which I slapped into Marmoset .

Oh man! That looks great. I'd love to see some details on the trench coat in marvelous designer. I've been having a ton of trouble with that.

Cheers Polaroid. For the pattern it was a mix of looking at reference (this one)

and just working it out myself, doing adjustments to get the result I was going for, then pulling it back some to be more like the reference pattern.

Doing baking and combining of maps together for the torso in Substance Designer at the moment.

Finished the baking with Substance Designer. Now to learn Painter, and also make some materials in Designer. Here is the character with the normal maps.

I've been really impressed with Designer's baking. I just baked the model in parts and combined the maps; didn't even use a cage or touch any ray settings. It did a variety of 4k maps in 1 or 2 minutes.

I followed Hugo Beyer's leather tutorial for Substance Designer (pretty much have to relearn everything as I haven't used it in a couple of years) and took the model into Unreal Editor. Never used UE before but managed to get him in and have a quick faff around with the material editor, with minimal researching required for some basic info.

This was just a test for the leather material and getting a quick idea on how to work with UE4.

Cheers. That version is a couple of different black/white images LERP'd together with some panning. I only started using UE the other day so still getting to grips with it. Currently trying to find out how to alter timing.

This is experiment 2, with a couple of moving textures and no LERP.
