This is mopknit: http://polycount.com/discussion/55987/mopknit-v1-1-for-maya

So sometimes when I use this plugin on an object, I get this error:

" file: h:/maya/2016/scripts/mopKnit.mel line 34: This command requires at least 1 arguement(s) to be specified or selected; found 0."

This particular incident happened when I deleted a bunch of faces of a sphere and tried to use the plugin on what's left of the sphere. In the UV map, the placement of the UV's  was correct.

However this error doesn't occur when I  cut a portion of the UVs.

Do I just have to cut uv's to bypass this bug or is there a more elegant solution?

btw I'm using 2016, if that makes a difference

One more problem that I'm having with this plugin is that I can't seem to get a second object to "stick" to the surface of the flattened UV geometry. How do I do that? Maybe ELI5 :)?
