Hey everyone! I just wanted to start the official thread for my game environment that I am currently making for my game art class. The entire course is structured around environment art, but me being a character artist, I tried to swing it a different way while still keeping in the parameters of each assignment. This is currently what I have so far. This is my first game environment as well as my last because my portfolio needs to be more tailored to character art. Any critiques and comments would be helpful since this is a great learning experience nonetheless. I have 2 weeks left in the quarter so there is still plenty of time to really tie the scene together with my concept. Let me know what you guys think :)

The environment is a great start!

Why does your mood board say "texture size 2048x2048"? Looks like a mistake, since you didn't make any of those.

Your images are very slow to load, which makes your post or thread very slow. Besides being impolite to others, this also reduces the likelihood of you getting good feedback. Probably because you're using PNGs instead of JPGs, or very large dimensions, or not compressing your JPGs enough. Please see the Information sticky (http://polycount.com/discussion/63361/information-about-polycount-new-member-introductions/p1), specifically the section "Make Your Artwork Easy to View".

Your 2nd and third images lack branding (website address, etc.). Again see the above, for an explanation why this is important.

The big interior shot is a nice angle. However it shows a blank wall at far right, which is not helping the composition. I would suggest rotating the camera to the left a bit more, or actually moving the camera left while also rotating left.

The floor texture stands out as being an odd choice. Could be better as stone cobbles, or marble with a carpet runner, or concrete.

The window arches along the left side are not receiving the fog, so they look oddly darker than their wall niches.

The hanging vines from the ceiling seem really out of place. If there was more water damage there, from leaks, and if the top edge of the vines didn't terminate so abruptly, it might look better.

Overall it's a great start! I'm looking forward to your updates.
