scale gizmo messed up

Not sure what I pressed but I cant get the scale gizmo to go back to default.

Try + or -   . They change the size of the gizmo

thanks..im not trying to change the size of the gizmo, it doesnt act right..I use to be able to click and drag on one of the axis a scale to align the verts or in that ref pic that I posted i was using it to spread out the verts on the x axis but its in some wierd mode..

You sure you didn't just hit R to many times? (every time you hit it, it changes the scale "Mode")

This is the one that I see most people using since you can select the axis better.

figured it out...definitely odd. When you put the cursor on the Gizmo axis line, it allows me to flatten verts, scale outward ect ect...the cursor icon changes to a opened triangle shape thing.. i was putting the cursor past the axis lines.

well i sort of figured it out...its very difficult to grab the axis perfectly so that the gizmo changes.
