Over the past 2 years or so us folks at Torn Banner have been plunking away on our next game. Today we are very excited to officially announce Mirage: Arcane Warfare! Mirage: Arcane Warfare is a competitive multiplayer FPS coming in 2016. Not a MOBA, not F2P.

the headchopping trailer was really poor. didnt look cool, just splatter noises. also this artstyle is reaching over-saturation really fast. spell effects and such looks pretty cool though.
obvouisly i havent played this, but when i read arcane warfare i thought "wow, pvp figthing with magic and spells, how cool!". however the trailers makes me think that the magic is just a artstyle, ie guns with different fx. this is a bit of wasted oppertunity imo. wouldnt it be cool if using magic was more than just pulling a trigger? like a complex system where you have to balance a bunch of different factors to beat your opponent. there are some games that do this; sacrifice, magicka, arx fatalis. would be cool tho have that in first person pvp
Really nice art, well done on all the hard work, Im sure this stuff is still being perfected but the combat and animation in the trailers looks rather clunky. The impacts of weapons and projectiles lacks punch and it almost seems like at times a character is hit in the stomache and thier head falls off.

Thanks for the feedback, we're really hoping to integrate the magic with the melee in a way that feels deep and mechanically satisfying so I would definitely ask you to give us a chance when the beta comes and let us know what we can do to improve it. Taking feedback and incorporating it is a priority for the team so I appreciate your thoughts!
We got some raw gameplay footage y'all! The gameplay, art, sound, ui, animations, particles, and everything in between has really been coming together these past few months. The closed alpha will be coming up pretty soon, and we're looking at a release early 2017.
Love that you guys are so open to feedback! Seen far too many devs lash out from critique, tends to not go over to well... Saw Total Biscuits video about your game some time ago, convinced me to purchase the game on release, Looks super fun!
It's dope. The game demands that you think about each of your swings before committing. I'd give it a shake. Give it that learning curve try, and then you'll get it.
