Hey! I wanted to share my progress on a bedroom I'm currently making in Unreal 4. It's heavily inspired by the game Life is Strange and is my first project in Unreal 4 to get to know the engine a little better. Currently trying to get the lighting and 'mood' right before I continue making more props. I also included a quick doodle/overpaint to see for myself how long the road still is... Comments and feedback would be greatly appreciated.
Looking really good so far for your first project in UE4! I love Life is Strange and its art style so much
One little thing I noticed is, the lip of the record player has some strange waviness/warping — not sure if that is that intentional wear, or a baking error.
Also, I'm sure you're planning to address this later but the wood floor looks a bit off in terms of scale. Seems like the planks would be a good bit narrower. The roughness looks a little strange in the 2nd and 3rd images too — I'm not a texture expert so I can't quite put my finger on exactly why. Maybe a little too irregular?
Hey! Thanks for the reply... I'm not quite sure what you mean with your first point. Could you explain a little better? As for the wood, that's indeed something I'm gonna change... It is actually a standard Unreal material That's why the styles also collide a bit. But it was just a quick placeholder ^^ Thanks again!
Small update... Mainly have been experimenting with lighting, still not there yet, but I'm getting somewhere. Also made a first version of a floor texture. After this probably going to finish the bed...
I'm far from an expert but as a bit of feedback I'd say the light coming in from the window seems a bit yellowish, as if its an artificial light source as opposed to a whiter natural light source. Just my two cents. Love the texture style!

Small update, I also started experimenting a bit with audio (next door music playing and creaking wood floor)
Liking, sharing and commenting would be greatly appreciated.
