Really nothing to improve on to me (looks amazing). How would you make that into low poly, I am trying to make grade A guns myself but retopologizing in max takes forever.

That all depends on your work flow in my opinion. Basically how i start is kind of keeping my block out mesh with the supporting edge loops and then remove the supporting edge loops and kind of using that for your low poly. That brings you to like 80 percent and then you can put edges where you think you need them for your low poly or take them away where you feel you don't need them. Building your block out with your low poly in mind is super important. Hope to see some of your sick guns posted soon!
Got some time to get back to this and wanted to rebake this and throw it into nDo. Would love to hear what you think. Planing to get this textured soon. Here is a link to the Marmoset Viewer if you are interested. Marmoset Viewer
Amazing work, really like the details. Although I personally don't really like snake, doesn't quite fit in with the rest of the model. But that's just my opinion, it looks great overall.

Yeah I have gotten that cit from some others and I moved it around. Thats the logo from Bushmaster not my own but I still might change it.
So i just wanted to let you guys know this thread is not dead! i have been making slow progress! i want to finish this thing up soon and then move on. Here is just a quick update of the textures so far. Would love to get some feed back.
Think I am calling this done. Learned how to really get the most out of substance painter with this project. You can check out more pics here on my Artstation. Let me know what you guys think!
Looks awesome! The metals look great and the model itself is really solid. Only points I see to bring up are the grip and the background. The grip material just seems a little too low res/blurry. As for the background, I think the gun pops a bit more on the renders you took in the post before this one. I think it blends in just a bit too much in these ones.
The 18 on the receiver would be more convincing if you gave it a slightly raised surface and had gave it the same material definition as the kind of paint you get when you write on something with a paint marker. Right now the color of it and the style of it being hand-drawn on there looks perfect, but if you gave it the right material definition and that slightly raised surface in the normal map it would look that much more realistic. Maybe even have a bit of the paint be thinner and stuff too, for added realism.
This type of paint marker here is very similar to what we used on the weapons in the arms room when I was in the Army.

Also just wondering, what calibre is this supposed to be, as that muzzle break/bore? looks like its for an artillery piece lol.
Great piece tho!
