Sooooo its probably about time I started one of theses sketchbooks, I'm hoping it will help me track my development as well as getting some input from yourselves.

Looking to document my progress on personal projects as well as studies and sketches.

Any feedback is much appreciated

At the moment I've been working on an entry for 'The Game Challenge' Monster or Monster slayer competition and decided to go with the theme of monster slayer. 
My monster slayer is part of a motorcycle club who work slaying the creatures of the night, tackling the more common vampires, werewolves, banshees, etc. As well as specializing in spirits and ghouls native to New Zealand.

So far I have completed a rough concept and have started blocking in the main forms in zbrush. And made a start on his jeans but very early days yet  




I have also been working on a game project with some friends. I am responsible for the creation fo the 3D characters to feature in the game. I have been working on Professor Randolph Carter, teacher of Metaphysics at The Miskatonic University.
After completing his concepts I have just about finished the high-poly. I will be moving on to re-topology and texturing in the coming weeks.

Really need to improve her pose/gesture feeling a bit stiff yet, early days.

Got the Professor retopped and baked.  
Just quickly put him in marmoset with block colours, all ready to texture. Woop

Looks good, I can't really say much about your sculpting as it seems to be very good, though some of the materials I have seen you do looks like they can use some more character.

Thanks, I'm working on textures for the biker/monster slayer at the moment, trying to use this as an opportunity to improve on my texturing, having fun playing with substance designer and painter

Almost done with texturing, just gotta finish off his eyes, hair, and face tattoos then I can move onto rendering.

Ahh been a mad last few days trying to get this in for the deadline. But just about done now. I did spend another cheeky day playing with the lighting as I wasn't 100% happy with the renders I submitted to the challenge, but oh well. Relatively happy with the way he came out but I always feel like I do myself a disservice with the renders. I really need to do some reading and study on lighting. Ho hum, well here he is

Been working on a sculpture in super sculpey the last couple of days, been a nice contrast from the usual digital stuff. Sorry for the phone quality haha
This has been really fun  
Still needs a lot of work. Something is bugging me about the head, don't think I got the proportions of the skull quite right. Also trying to make sure the hips and ribcage are nice and clear, but had some limitations due to my armature. At least I can try do better with that next time around (ordered a butt load of super sculpey from amazon!)

Hey all, well overdue an update on here. Been a bit of a crazy year! 
Going to enter the cubebrush art war competition so thought I'd use it as a chance to track my progress on here too.

I'm going to be creating my character from D&D, Kaelya the Battlemage.
'Her background as a military mage has given her the demeanor to push through any challenge using her prowess with the whip or her vast arsenal of offensive spells. As her exit from the military was somewhat turbulent, she has avoided most officials and has chosen to join a band of misfits on a quest to help the town of Daggerford.'
