Hello everyone!
After trying to google my way to a solution as well as reinstalling 3Ds Max twice, while taking away any residual files the second time, I really don't know how to fix this one.
When I start up 3Ds Max I get the Max.Net Unhandled Exception showed in the picture, then it starts up as usual, but as soon as I try to click the "Render" tab or right-click, I get the State Sets Error in the picture, first the top one, then after clicking okay, the second one. This happens every time I try to use either function, both in old and new files.
If any of you know what this might be, I'd be so happy for your help.

I'm sorry for not specifying I'm on Windows 10
However I haven't upgraded to it recently, but the most recent thing I've done in 3Ds Max I can remember is trying to use the Sketchfab Exporter. I have tried to re-install and uninstall it, but to no aid.

Find this file …\bin\assemblies\Autodesk.Max.StateSets.dll (example for path – C:\Program Files\Autodesk\3ds Max 2015\bin\assemblies\Autodesk.Max.StateSets.dll) and Rename it Autodesk.Max.StateSets.dll.back
p.s. before that you have to enable to view the hidden files and file extension"
This worked for me
3Ds Max is voodoo.
Just open your scene > right click in your view port > Manage State Sets...
then select: States > Options > Reset State Sets
you'll get a message like this:
I personally didn't have any of that to lose, so I chose 'Yes', saved my file, closed Max before reopening my scene and both errors were gone.
