Answered: Quixel Suite 2 is really slow at the point it is annoying

Well before I updated to v2 quixel worked really fast and without problems but now it is really slow,
sometimes i need to click 5x on a folder to open him or the 3D objekt is only turning really slow with strong lags ..... don't know what I should do.
My laptop can rund Unity, Maya and PS together without a problem, so I don't believe my lp is the problem


Laptop:

Lenovo Yoga   (2 or so)

- Intel Core I5-4210U   1.70 GHz   2.40 GHz

- RAM: 8 GB
- Systemtyp: 64-Bit

That's why Quixel Suite is running slowly for you. The minimum system requirements are a GTX 600 series video card or better. 3DO's previewer is a powerful real-time renderer and is not designed to function on integrated graphics. You can try to alleviate this a bit by turning off post-processing in your 3DO window at the top left, but that will only do so much. The amount of textures you're using and the size of those textures will also determine how well 3DO will run, and on your system you'll likely have performance problems with any texture above 1k.

My apologies for being the bearer of bad news. If you have the ability to run the Suite on another machine with dedicated video, you should be fine!

Yeah, I also spoke about it with my instructor for Game art and he said something similar.
at first I thought i could buy an extern video card but he said that it wouldn't be a good Idea,
so right now I'm looking at parts to build my own pc

next time i go home to my parents i will look into my 5 years old pc
and search for parts that could be usefull like the hard drive disk and so on

are there some parts or brands you would recommend ?

I'm right now looking at parts and want to build a Pc somewhere between 600-800€ but don't really know up to what kind
of price I can go by parts like the Mainbord and Cpu
